08 November 2012, 17:04
Nairobi - Telecom firm Safaricom has rebounded to post a 94 per cent jump in after tax profits in its half-year profits driven by a growing customer base, easing inflation and a stable exchange rate.
Announcing their results on Thursday reported KES 7.8 billion in profits, significantly higher than KES 4 billion made during a similar period last year, Daily Nation reports.
At the time, profit had fallen by more than 47 per cent as Safaricom experienced the ravages of a price war in the Kenyan telecom sector.
