Karua: I'll take care of your property

06 February 2013, 15:49 Mwangi Karanja

Narc Kenya government will prioritize taking care of Kenyan's property which for a long time has been left in custody of corrupt leaders, Narc Kenya presidential hopeful Martha Karua has assured.

She said that few individual are enjoying life after stealing from government coffers at expense of poor Kenyans who are languishing in poverty.

“You can only change the destiny of your child by voting for people who have not been implicated in any corrupt deals - they are the reason as to why you are suffering,” Karua Said.

She added,  "Your vote is a key for better future and you as a person, will have to decide whether you want to change your country or allow hyenas to take care of your sheep”.

She was addressing thousands of supporters at Kiminini market in Trans Nzoia in her second day tour in the region, after touring West Pokot County on over the weekend where she joined his running mate Augustine Lotodo in the home coming ceremony at Makutano stadium in Kapenguria.

Karua pointed out that nearly a quarter of Kenyan budget is diverted to the pockets of corrupt leaders who are now crisscrossing the country with the same money bribing Kenyans to re-elect them to office.

The immediate MP for Gichugu further reiterated that her government will provide free primary and secondary education adding that every Kenyan child has rights for education as stipulated in the constitution.

“My government will offer basic services like health care and free primary and secondary education because funds taken through scandals can benefit the whole country,” Added Karua.

She addressed Narc supports in a series of stop-over rallies in the region, where she toured Kiungani, Kiminini, Lokhome, Annex Saboti, Kisawai and Kwanza Market urging them to elect leaders with ability and experience.

She cautioned her supporters to be wary of those who have been in government for decades and yet they have done nothing to improve lives of Kenyans.

“My opponents have been holding influential positions in the coalition government and yet they did nothing in their capacities to wipe out mega graft scandals that were witnessed in the current government," lamented Karua.

Speaking at the same rally, his running mate Augustine Lotodo said that the Narc government will put in place policies that will transform the agricultural sector.
