MP's New Year gift to area boda boda operators

01 January 2013, 10:31 Steve Wambugu

More than 200 boda boda riders in Koibatek town had a reason to be happy after their Member of Parliament Moses Lissonet paid for their license fee and reflector jackets.

The legislator said the motorbike riders and operators will benefit a lot from the  local CDF kitty which he said it was one way of helping youths in Koibatek.

"Kenyans should view the boda boda operators as another way of creating employment and that's why we need to continue giving them as much support as possible," he pointed out as he handed out the cheque on Thursday afternoon to the Director of Sydney Driving school Eddy Njoroge.

The MP said that the government needed to prioritise the issues that the youths of Kenya are currently facing instead of focusing on campaign trails.

Moses also pointed out the need to create good policies by the next government.

However, the MP cautioned the youths against being used by politicians to cause mayhem before or after the March 4th run up.

Moses noted that the youths need to venture into more important projects that will enhance their living standards.
