Mudavadi: Refrain from cheap politics

18 February 2013, 12:17 Steve Wambugu

Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi who is also the Amani coalition flag bearer has urged Kenyans to refrain from heckling various leaders during their political rallies across the country saying every candidate has a right to conduct their campaigns anywhere in the country.

While referring to an incident that took place at Murang'a last Friday during the CORD alliance political rally, Musalia said it was regrettable that a few individuals were still living in the past and driven by cheap politics of disrupting other people’s political meetings.

Speaking in Molo town on Saturday afternoon during his presidential campaign, the Deputy PM said that it was high time that Kenyans listened to the policies of each presidential aspirant adding that the only way forward for Kenya is through good leadership.

The Amani alliance leader further said that he will ensure that there is equal distribution of resources in all the 47 counties in the country should his Alliance win in the forth coming general elections.

“The major problem in our country has been the distribution of resources in our country and that is why my government will ensure there is equal shearing of our natural resources in all the 47 counties,” said Mudavadi.

He also pointed out that his government will strive to improve the standards of education in the country to meet the international standards.

“We have to improve our standards of education to enable us to compete at the same level and I am certain Amani government can deliver this once are elected,” said the politician.
