PK: Elect credible leaders

11 February 2013, 13:26 Steve Wambugu

Presidential hopeful under the Kenya National Congress party Peter Kenneth has urged Kenyans to elect a president who will solve the problems of the country rather than create more problems.

Kenneth said other presidential candidates have been in the government for more than two decades but have done nothing for Kenyans saying he was the best placed candidate to win the forth coming elections because of his good track record.

While addressing wananchi at Nakuru Afraha Stadium on Saturday, Kenneth said if elected as the fourth president of Kenya, he will strive to improve the lives of all youths by building a county polytechnic that will cater for the youths who do not make it to the universities and colleges.

“There will be a county polytechnic in each court so as to curb the large number of youths who do not make it to colleges and Universities,” promised Kenneth.

The politician also urged Kenyans to closely monitor all the presidential candidates and elect the one who will help the country realize vision 2030.

Kenneth however regretted that most of the politicians in the country were busy spreading propaganda about other parties and individuals rather than tackling real issues that are ailing the country.

He said the presidential seat was not a battle ground to settle old scores saying Kenyans want leaders who will strive to make the country a better place.

In quick rejoinder, Peter Kenneth's running mate Ronald Osumba said that it is high time that Kenyans elected young and energetic leaders who have great vision for the country.

Ronald observed that the needed change for Kenyans was not with the old generation but rather with youths of today who will help Kenya become a business tower in east and central of Africa.

“It is our time as youths of Kenya to bring the change we have always dreamt of because we are the change we want,” said Ronald.
