Teacher leaves pupil with broken leg

31 January 2013, 15:38 Wangui Joseph

A 15 year old class five boy is reportedly admitted at Murang’a district hospital after receiving corporal punishment by his teacher.

According to his mother Agnes Kanini, the boy was stroked by his teacher for using his vernacular language at school.

She said she found her son sleeping and crying over the pain at their home in Kamondo village soon after arrival from work on Monday evening.

She first gave him pain killers but the pain persisted.

The boy claimed that he had pain on the legs which he accrued after assault by his teacher.

The hospital clinical officer Irene Muchemi confirmed the claims saying that the boy had a broken leg.
