Uhuru: Jubilee will have a landslide victory

08 February 2013, 16:18 Mwangi Karanja

Nairobi - Jubilee alliance flag bearer Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate William Ruto on Thursday traversed Trans Nzoia and west Pokot counties where they promised their supporters a clear win in the coming general elections.

Addressing thousands of  jubilee supporters at Chepereria in west Pokot, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta said they have support of all Kenyans and that their opponents should prepare for a landslide victory.

“We entered this race because we knew that we would win the coming elections and those who think that they would win let them continue dreaming,” said Uhuru.

He added that their main agenda would be transforming lives of all Kenyans saying that they will establish a special fund for them where they will be issued with loans without security or interest.

“Jubilee government would ensure that the youth invest in income generating activities and our work will just be giving them free interest loan and consultation on how  they can use the funds,” the deputy Prime Minister assured youths at Kaloleni ground in Kitale.

He Urged Jubilee rivals to desist from using abusive language adding that he will only focus on selling the alliance manifesto and not wasting time abusing others.

"We made it clear from the beginning that we will not focus on confrontational politics. Instead, we will sell our manifestos to Kenyans. Kenyans would judge us from our track records not mere words,” said the formers Gatundu Mp.

They were speaking in a series of stop over rallies to drum up support for the coalition’s senator, parliamentary and civil candidates in Kacheliba, Saboti, Endebes, Kitale town and Kachibora where they said that the international community have agreed to work with whoever wins the election .

"That means that you should stop worrying about international sanctions as they have agreed to work with anybody," added Ruto

Speaking at Endebes in Kitale after a whirlwind tour within the county, Uhuru Kenyatta's running mate William Ruto said that Jubilee alliance would ensure that farm input is sold at pocket friendly price so as to enable farmers increase food production.

“If we want this country to stop depending on other countries for food, let's support our farmers by providing them with fertilizers at reduced prices,” said Ruto.
