Jubilee coalition presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta was Tuesday evening crowned as Ameru elder of the Njuri Ncheke by the Council of Njuri Ncheke at a Shrine in Nchiru, Tigania East.

The colourful ceremony saw Uhuru clad in the elder’s regalia fitted with a matching headgear in black and white monkey skin and fur together with an accompanying spear.

Uhuru was also blessed by the elders who predicted that he would be the next President of Kenya.

The ceremony was witnessed by Assistant Ministers Peter Munya, Kilemi Mweria as well as officials and candidates running for various positions under the Jubilee coalition.

Uhuru who welcomed the crowning as Ameru elder said he was confident of winning the Presidential elections saying he would include all Kenyans in his government.

He called for peaceful campaigns during the remaining few days and urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers to vote for the leaders of their choice.

He urged Kenyans to remain united as brothers and sisters, saying that he will work towards implementing the coalition’s manifesto once elected President.

During the function that was attended by top officials from the Alliance Party of Kenya, Uhuru endorsed Kiraitu Murungi as the Senator of the Meru County and urged those in the Jubilee coalition to vote for him.
