Wanjiru: I am not academic dwarf

31 January 2013, 11:50 Alfred Onyango

Nairobi senatorial aspirant Bishop Margret Wanjiru has dismissed the allegations that her academic papers are not valid.

She  insisted her degree papers are valid saying she attained them from an American bible school that awarded her Theological Degree.

It is upon the commission of higher education to validate and/ or equate degrees from abroad.

She said her disqualification from gubernatorial on the basis of 'uncredited' degrees was politically motivated as CHE had informed her they were valid before.

She even said that double standards was applied in clearing the aspirants for gubernatorial seat.

She has also insisted that the bible schools she attended are accredited and her degrees are legitimate and the move to dismiss her degrees was foul play by her competitors within ODM.

In fact she claimed that the letter she received from CHE was different from that they send to ODM's National Election Board.

"Probably my qualifications are better than hers,'" she said in response to Elizabeth Ongoro's accusations that 'the senate has become damping site for academic dwarfs' after Margret Wanjiru was given the senate ticket by ODM.
