CID officer arrested for robbery

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports a CID officer suspected to be involved in armed robberies within Nairobi County has been arrested. The officer based at the Nairobi’s Central Division CID offices was arrested in Dagoretti during a botched robbery.

The officer who was arrested with three more suspects are also said to have robbed Joseph Nasio Kangu of KES 213,000 and a camera on February 18 at around 10.30am.

Dagoretti OCPD Mathew Gwiyo said that the officer was positively identified by some of his victims.
