EU election monitors face objection

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports a voter has asked a court to block a European Union (EU) delegation from monitoring the elections claiming it is biased against some candidates.
Samson Ojiayo lodged a case at the High Court on Wednesday, seeking orders to revoke the observers' accreditation on grounds that they “are partisan with their home countries having declared open hostility towards an Uhuru win".
The court heard that the observers "have already openly expressed reservations towards the election Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto as vice president by threatening that should the two clinch power there would be repercussions".
