Funds threaten election security

31 January 2013, 17:26

Nairobi - The Standard reports Treasury has not released KES 5 billion that the police requested to finance their security operations during the March polls  posing a threat to security during that period.

Charles Otieno, a consultant for the group today morning in Nairobi said General elections is one of the largest security operations for the police but they are seeing political games being played by top officials of Treasury and Internal Security.
