IEBC ignored advice on BVR kits from IT director

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) bought electronic voter identification kits that were faulty during the just concluded elections despite being warned by its Information and Technology director. 

Head of IT Dismas Ong’ondi had written an internal memo warning of the risks posed by the kits.

He had warned that the kits required more time and a parallel technology for them to function optimally.
