Is ministry robbing the elderly?

18 May 2012, 14:28

Nairobi - Red flags have been raised around the country over misappropriation of funds after it emerged that only a fraction of the elderly have been receiving money from the Cash Transfer Fund for the Elderly  which the government distributes.

The Programme is run by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development and is meant to empower the elderly people to a tune of up to KES 3 billion annually.
