KES 70b being lost to counterfeiters

Nakuru - The Standard reports Kenya is losing more than KES 70 billion annually to counterfeit products.

According to Anti-Counterfeit Agency, fast moving products are the most counterfeited and it is a challenge identifying such products.

The agency said the Government loses KES 19 billion in tax revenue through Kenya Association of Manufacturers while private sector loses KES 50 million due to counterfeit goods alone.
