Kenya is short of 70, 000 teachers

Nairobi - Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo has admitted that the country has a shortfall of 70,000 teachers.
According to The Standard, Kilonzo said he will be seeking for a supplementary budget early next year to recruit more teachers to ease the shortage.
He was speaking during a graduation ceremony of more than 200 diploma and certificate Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) graduands at Oasis centre in Sultan Hamud, Makueni County.
