Knut calls for a teachers strike over KES 25 billion

15 February 2013, 07:34

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) has called for a teachers strike after the government failed to pay them their allowances amounting to KES 25 billion.

According to Knut chairman Wilson Sossion, the government had up to Sunday to pay teachers KES 25 billion in allowances or they would stay away from work starting Monday morning.
