Name Lamu land 'owners'

26 December 2012, 15:15

Nairobi - Parliament’s Lands and Natural Resources Committee has directed that all grabbed land in Lamu County be identified and the title deeds revoked.

Daily Nation reports that in a report awaiting debate in Parliament, the MPs have also proposed that all those who own land in Lamu be named so people know who owns land in the county, the size of the land owned, and when they got the land.

The call to have those with land in Lamu named in public seeks to expose all those who quietly backdated their title deeds to dodge their revocation.
