Police officer killed in Mandera

Mandera - A police officer was shot dead and his colleague escaped unharmed on Thursday night after being attacked by assailants in Mandera town.

According to Daily Nation reports, the three assailants also stole a G3 rifle in the 11pm incident when the two constables were heading to the Kenya Power depot on foot.

The constable is said to have been shot three times on his hand, neck and chin.
