Top cop denies nepotism, graft, abusive language

Nairobi - Administration Police Training College Commandant Omar Shurie was on Thursday put to task by the National Police Service Commission over allegations of corruption, nepotism and use of vulgar language against trainees.

Speaking to the Johnston Kavuludi commission, Shurie denied the allegations and insisted that he has always maintained the highest professional standards in managing the Administration Police College in Embakasi, Capital News reports.

On allegations of using vulgar language Shurie who is among the nine candidates short listed for the deputy Inspector General of Police said that he sometimes swears when recruits fail to do as he ordered during drills but promised to change.
