Uhuru and Muthaura want the ICC to delay their trial

14 February 2013, 15:40

Hague - The Standard reports former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura and Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta want the International Criminal Court (ICC) to delay trial of their case set to start in April.

According to the two suspects, they needed more time to prepare for the case as the prosecution had introduced new evidence.

Through his lawyers, Uhuru said they needed more time to prepare for the case as the prosecution had abandoned a crucial witness and Uhuru was now facing a different case from the one he faced during confirmation of charges.
