Cord heads to Nyanza

01 February 2013, 15:24

Kisumu - The Standard reports Cord Presidential candidate Raila Odinga heads to his Nyanza backyard for a three-day campaign trail stretching from Siaya to Migori.

The visit begins Monday and is hoped will soothe some of the wounds inflicted by the nominations which were largely perceived as flawed and caused bitter fall outs within the ODM ranks with some disgruntled candidates seeking alternative vehicles to elective positions.

It will be interesting how the PM will talk the Siaya County candidates into voting party nominee for Governor Cornelius Rasanga who was settled on after his elder brother Oburu Oginga and new comer William Oduol differed bitterly over the party ticket.
