Drama at Kieni constituency tallying centre

05 March 2013, 17:21

Nairobi - There was a commotion at the Kieni constituency tallying centre after two gubernatorial candidates arrived almost at the same time and demanded an audience with the returning officer.

According to Daily Nation reports, GNU’s Nderitu Gachagua demanded for preliminary results to be printed for him but TNA’s Wahome Gakuru resisted the move saying it would have delayed the tallying process.

The drama ensued when one candidate’s agent claimed that the rival had tried to hand over an envelope to the returning officer Nicholas Buttuk.
