Gumo quits active politics

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports Westlands MP and Regional Development minister Fred Gumo has quit active politics.

Gumo who has been in politics 38 years, announced his decision on Wednesday but said he will continue supporting Prime Minister Raila Odinga's presidential bid.

He intends to form a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that will assist the poor, particularly orphans.
