IEBC: Court has final say on Uhuru and Ruto

21 November 2012, 12:34

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports that the Electoral commission has said that it is only the High Court that can clear presidential hopefuls Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto to run in the upcoming polls.

The chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Isaack Hassan said Wednesday that the electoral body will make a decision on Kenyatta and Ruto once the court rules on a case questioning their integrity.

Isaack went on to add that if the court decides they are eligible, the Commission has no problem.
