Jubilee, Cord applaud ruling

Nairobi - The Jubilee Coalition presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate William Ruto welcomed the court ruling that cleared them to run in the March 4 election.

According to Daily Nation reports, the Prime Minister Raila Odinga also lauded the ruling saying it gave Kenyatta and Ruto the chance to face him on the ballot as Kenyans exercised their right to elect a president of their choice.

Speaking shortly after the ruling was delivered, Kenyatta, through his lawyer Evans Monari, congratulated the five judge bench saying it had demonstrated its commitment to the democratic process in the country.
