Nairobi - The Standard reports Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has cleared Evans Kidero, Gideon Mbuvi and Najib balala to vie for elective posts in the March polls.

Kidero has been cleared to vie for the Nairobi governor seat on the ODM ticket, named his running mate as Jonathan Mueke, a 36-year old IT expert.

Outgoing Makadara MP Gideon Mbuvi, who was also cleared, will be TNA’s Nairobi senatorial candidate. Activist Okiya Omtatah who is contesting for same seat under Ford Kenya has also been cleared. He was earlier turned away by the electoral body after he failed to meet the stipulated requirements.
