LSK: Cord and Jubilee nominations were undemocratic

22 January 2013, 15:36

Nairobi - The Standard reports the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) says nominations for Cord and Jubilee were held in an undemocratic manner and the two coalitions should apologise.

According to LSK chairperson Eric Mutua, as much as the two coalitions are campaigning on the platform of reforms and implementation of the Constitution this was not reflected in the manner in which the primaries were carried out.

He said the presidential candidates for the two coalitions must address the issue and assure Kenyans of their commitment to democracy and the rule of law.
