Rising ethnic conflicts

Nairobi -  Kenyan lawyers have called for the prosecution of groups fanning ethnic tension ahead of the upcoming General Elections, Daily Nation reports.

The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) chairman Eric Mutua said the increased cases of ethnic conflicts were worrying and asked security organs to restore peace.

Mutua sited that arsonists set ablaze several houses in Kuria East District within Migori County following alleged disputes between different clans over the weekend.
